Purchasing Contract Terms and Conditions

BY PLACING A DEPOSIT ON A PUPPY, YOU ARE AGREEING, IN FULL, TO THE TERMS OF THIS CONTRACT.

Elegant Guardian Angels, hereinafter referred to as the “breeder,” requires a $500 deposit to hold one puppy for the buyer and/or be placed on the waiting list. The breeder offers ZELLE, SQUARE and VENMO. The buyer is responsible for any fees to use VENMO and SQUARE.

Deposit is nonrefundable, but it may be transferred to a puppy of a future litter. The deposit is nonrefundable unless there is a problem with the health of the buyer’s puppy. In that case, the buyer will have the choice of a full refund or of transferring the deposit to another puppy as soon as one is available.

Puppies are $2800. When picking up the puppy in person, the remainder due must be in cash. If the buyer prefers to pay by a different method, then the remainder due must be paid at least 4 days prior to pick up so the entire payment can clear the bank. If shipping is requested, then the remainder due must be paid by 6 weeks of age.

Puppies are available for pick up at 8 weeks of age. There is a $75 fee if the breeder keeps the puppy past 8 weeks (the breeder does allow 3-4 days before the fee is applied).  If the buyer needs the puppy to stay past 8 weeks, arrangements must be made in advance.

Please register the puppy with the AKC and register its microchip as well.

The breeder agrees that the puppy is in good physical condition at the time of the sale and when puppy leaves the breeder’s home.  The first veterinarian’s checkup must be completed within 3 days of leaving. If the buyer’s veterinarian finds something severely wrong with the puppy, which the breeder’s veterinarian missed, the buyer may return the puppy. The breeder must be immediately notified, and the puppy’s microchip number must be on all documents. The puppy must be returned to the breeder within 48 hours of that veterinarian visit for a full refund or a replacement puppy—as soon as one is available. Replacement puppy is at the breeder’s discretion. The puppy must not have been taken to any public areas other than the veterinarian.

Please do not expose the puppy to any unvaccinated dogs until the puppy has completed the entire vaccination schedule—usually at 15 weeks.

After the date of the first veterinarian visit, the guarantee only covers life threatening genetic defects until 2 years of age. If the buyer’s puppy has a life-threatening genetic defect prior to two years of age, the breeder will exchange the buyer’s dog for another one—as soon as one is available. The breeder’s veterinarian is the designated authority, which will determine what is considered a life-threatening illness and/or severity of the condition. Any treatment authorized by the buyer is at the buyer’s expense. The breeder will not be held responsible for any expenses incurred; cost is at buyer’s expense. Furthermore, the puppy’s microchip number must be on all veterinarian records and submitted to the breeder’s veterinarian for review. Any, and all, transportation costs are at the buyer’s expense. Parvo is covered for the first 7 days after leaving the breeder. If the puppy dies of Parvo, the buyer will only be refunded the price of the puppy. The breeder will NOT send a puppy into a home that has had Parvo. Any dead puppy must have a necropsy to determine the cause of death. All costs incurred is at the buyer’s expense.

The buyer must contact the breeder if said puppy/dog is to be rehomed. If one needs rehoming, he/she must be returned to the breeder—we never want one of our dogs to end up in a shelter, or unsuitable home. If said dog requires training to be rehomed, the breeder will provide the necessary training to ensure a safe rehoming.

The breeder does not guarantee size, temperament, or ability to breed. Nor does the breeder guarantee non-life-threatening issues such as undescended testicles, low grade joint luxation, small imperfect bite, low grade heart murmur, or other non-life-threatening health problems. The breeder is not responsible if the puppy develops hypoglycemia after the puppy is in buyer’s possession.

The breeder does not guarantee the safety of the puppy in transport, example-air-cargo, ground transport, etc.

The breeder assumes no responsibility for training difficulties or behavior problems. The buyer is responsible for being informed about the breed and to provide age-appropriate training. The breeder is always available for guidance, and help, with training needs, but a bill of sale shall be provided.

The breeder is always available before and after the buyer brings the puppy home, to help answer any questions, provide information regarding feeding, health, assistance with training, grooming, etc. The breeder has years of experience with the Giant Schnauzer breed; so, please use that to your advantage.

The buyer is responsible for providing age-appropriate vaccinations. The buyer is responsible for proving a safe home, appropriate daily exercise, and quality food.

PUPPIES ARE SOLD WITH LIMITED AKC REGISTRATION (NO BREEDING RIGHTS).
FULL REGISTRATION GRANTED TO APPOVED HOMES ONLY. FULL REGISTRATION IS $4000.
